Rectangle Bamboo Slatted Soap Dish

This rectangle bamboo slatted soap dish uses an open rail-style top to support a bar while leaving space beneath it. The gaps between the bamboo slats give excess water a route to drain away and allow air to move around more of the soap between uses.

Its compact rectangular shape fits beside a bathroom or kitchen sink and accommodates many standard bar-soap shapes.

Using the Slatted Soap Dish

Set the dish on a stable surface where water passing between the slats can drain away. Place one bar across the raised rails and avoid allowing water to pool around or underneath the bamboo. Give both the bar and the dish time to dry between uses.

Cleaning and Bamboo Care

Remove accumulated soap residue from between the slats with a damp cloth or a quick rinse, then wipe the dish dry. Do not leave bamboo soaking in a sink, shower or container of water. Allow all surfaces to air-dry completely, and move the dish periodically so moisture does not remain trapped underneath. Discontinue use if the bamboo cracks, splinters or develops a rough surface.
