How to Use a Natural Pumice Stone

Wet both the pumice stone and the area of skin you plan to smooth. Use light pressure and short circular movements over rough areas, pausing frequently to check the skin. Do not scrub aggressively or continue until the skin feels tender. Rinse the area when finished and apply your preferred moisturizer if desired.

Do not use pumice on cuts, blisters, cracked or bleeding skin, inflamed areas or skin with reduced sensation. Do not share personal pumice stones. If you have diabetes, circulation concerns or a condition that affects foot sensation or healing, ask a qualified healthcare professional before using an abrasive foot-care tool.

Cleaning, Drying and Replacement

Rinse the stone thoroughly after every use to remove loosened material. Shake off excess water and allow it to dry completely in open air before storage. Keep it out of enclosed damp containers. Replace the stone if it begins to crumble excessively, develops a persistent odor or can no longer be rinsed clean.
