Scented Sea Sponge Cleaning Solution

This scented sea sponge cleaning solution is a powdered care product for natural sea sponges and natural loofah. The 3-ounce package contains approximately four uses when mixed according to the directions below.

Ingredients and Fragrance

• Sodium carbonate (washing soda)
• Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda)
• Sweet orange oil
• Tangerine oil
• Ylang ylang oil
• Light patchouli oil
• Blue chamomile oil

This version contains added essential oils for fragrance. Choose the unscented sea sponge cleaning solution if you prefer no added fragrance or essential oils.

How to Clean a Sea Sponge or Loofah

1. Mix 1 tablespoon of powder with 16 ounces (2 cups) of water in a suitable container.
2. Submerge the sea sponge or loofah and soak for one hour.
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until no solution remains.
4. Gently squeeze out excess water—do not wring a natural sea sponge.
5. Air-dry completely in a well-ventilated location before the next use.

Follow the package directions. Do not mix this product with other household cleaners. Avoid contact with eyes and keep the powder and soaking solution away from children and pets.

When to Replace the Sponge or Loofah

Cleaning can remove ordinary residue, but it cannot repair a damaged sponge or loofah. Discard the item if it has tears, persistent odor or discoloration, or buildup that does not rinse away.
